First Time Temperatures Exceed 50 Degrees Recorded in Morocco
The meteorological service of Morocco confirmed on August 13 that a new temperature record was set this week in the country.
According to the meteorological service, on August 11, temperatures in Agadir, located in the south of Morocco, reached 50.4 degrees Celsius. It is noted that this is the first time in the history of weather observations in the country that temperatures have surpassed 50 degrees.
The previous national record was considered to be 49.9 degrees, recorded on July 13 of this year in the city of Smara.
