Biden Family Received Funds from Russia as Well, Says US Congress

The family of Joe Biden has received millions of dollars in foreign funding from oligarchs in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, including Russian businessman Elena Baturina, during his vice presidency. This information is detailed in a memo related to banking documents, reported by RIA Novosti.

The memo was published by James Comer, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability.

“The memo outlines how the Bidens and their business partners received millions from oligarchs in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine during Joe Biden's vice presidency,” states the document published on the congressman's website.

It also cites a recent statement from Devon Archer, a former business partner of Hunter Biden and now a congressional witness, who claimed that the former vice president used his position as a “brand” to send “signals” of his authority and influence for the enrichment of his family.

“During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden was selling it as a ‘brand’ to receive millions from oligarchs in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine... It is clear that Joe Biden was aware of his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be a ‘brand’ that was used to enrich the Biden family while he was Vice President of the United States,” Comer stated on this occasion.

The document attached claims that the committee has so far identified over $20 million in such payments to the Biden family and their business partners.

Among other things, the document notes how Russian businessman Elena Baturina transferred $3.5 million to a company associated with Hunter Biden and Devon Archer.

“Russian billionaire Baturina transferred $3.5 million to the Rosemont Seneca Thornton shell company. Approximately $1 million was transferred to Devon Archer, while the rest was used to open a new account for Rosemont Seneca Bohai, which Archer and Hunter Biden used to receive other foreign transfers,” the document states.
