VIDEO: Placing Signposts for "Saving Parking Spots" in Streets is Prohibited

Parking in Yerevan's parking lots is often impossible. The reason is not only the lack of parking spaces but also the occupation of these spaces by signposts and various objects. The Yerevan municipality, together with the patrol service, continues daily intensified inspections to remove signposts and free up the traffic area. This was reported by the municipality's press service.

“The main problem is entrepreneurs, as well as some individuals, who earn money by ‘saving’ parking spots,” the statement reads. The Law on Ensuring Road Traffic Safety clearly states: “It is prohibited to leave items and objects on the road that may obstruct road traffic.” This means that placing signposts is prohibited,” the announcement adds.

It is noted that the city authorities will continue inspections in all administrative districts until the issue is resolved completely.
