Russia Ready to Discuss Resolution of Ukrainian Crisis, Says Zakharova
Russia is open to a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian crisis and is prepared to respond to genuinely serious proposals, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commenting on the recent meeting in Jeddah.
"We highly appreciate the mediation and humanitarian initiatives of our friends from the Global South aimed at achieving peace. Unlike the Kyiv regime, which interrupted and prohibited negotiations with Russia, we have always been open and remain so for a diplomatic resolution of the issue. We are ready to respond to genuinely serious proposals. Without Russia's participation and considering its interests, no meeting regarding the Ukrainian crisis holds any minimum added value," Zakharova said.
