Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Front of 'Northern' Bus Station
On August 2, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 21:30, an Opel Astra car struck a man crossing the street at a prohibited area in front of the 'Northern' bus station on Acharyan Street.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the doctor at the scene confirmed the pedestrian's death. Police at the site checked the driver's sobriety, determining that he was sober.
An investigation has been initiated by the investigative division regarding the incident. At the request of the investigator, the car has been moved to a secure area maintained by the Police of Yerevan. The patrol service and investigative division are working to establish the identities of the driver and the deceased.
