Illegal Mining Discovered in Armavir
As a result of measures taken to uncover and prevent illegal mining activities, employees of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Authority have discovered a case of illegal extraction of a sandy mass in the central area between the villages of Yeghygnut and Argavand in the Armavir region. This was reported by the RA Environmental and Mining Inspection Authority.
It is noted that the illegal mining operation, carried out with heavy machinery, was immediately halted. During the measurement works, it was found that 3,175 cubic meters of the sandy mountain mass had been displaced, resulting in the degradation of an area of 2,930 square meters.
The materials compiled on the case have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies.
