Edmon Marukyan Addresses Azerbaijan's Latest Provocation

Azerbaijan continuously repudiates its fabricated narratives related to the willingness of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh to coexist. This was stated by Armenia's special envoy Edmon Marukyan on Twitter, referring to the latest Azerbaijani provocation that occurred on July 29.

“Today, 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan, who was being transferred from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia for medical assistance under the escort of the International Committee of the Red Cross, was abducted by representatives of Azerbaijan's border service and taken to an unknown location. Neither Khachatryan's relatives nor representatives from the ICRC or Russian peacekeepers are aware of his whereabouts,” Marukyan wrote.

Previously, it was reported that Vagif Khachatryan, who was being transferred from Artsakh to Armenia for medical treatment, was abducted by representatives of Azerbaijan's border service and taken to an unknown direction. His fate is currently unknown.
