Nearly 100,000 Russians Granted Residency in Turkey
In 2022, Russians led the way in the number of residency permits issued in Turkey, with nearly 100,000 citizens of Russia receiving this document. This information is based on the data released on Tuesday by Turkey's statistics institute, Turkstat, as reported by TASS.
It is noted that a total of 99,898 Russians applied for long-term residency rights in the republic. This is the highest number among all nationalities that sought residency permits in Turkey last year.
In second place are citizens of Ukraine, with 32,539 applications, followed by Iranians with 25,997.
