Armenian Journalists Can Visit Azerbaijan, Says Media Council President
If Armenian journalists wish to come to Azerbaijan, there will be no problems in that regard. This was stated by Rashad Mejid, the President of the Media Council of Azerbaijan.
"If Armenian journalists want to come to Azerbaijan, there will be no issues in that area," Mejid said.
In turn, the spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Aihan Hacizade, mentioned that during international events held in Azerbaijan, there are also journalists of Armenian descent in the delegations. It is expected that positive steps will be taken in this direction in the coming years.
Despite such demonstrative statements, there is a campaign of hatred against Armenians in Azerbaijan, and those making such statements are well aware of the animosity that the compatriots of the Azerbaijani man who murdered Gurgen Margaryan while he was sleeping harbor towards Armenians.
