Armenia is Among the Leaders in Visits to Georgia, Azerbaijan in Fifth Place
According to the Georgian National Tourism Administration, in the first six months of 2023, there were 2,529,517 international visits to Georgia. This represents an increase of almost 76 percent compared to the same period last year and a decline of 21 percent compared to 2019 figures. This information was reported by Alik Media.
It is noted that Armenia is also among the top three countries with the most visits to Georgia during the first half of the year.
According to official statistics, Turkey is the leader in the number of international visits with 58,527 visits in the first and second quarters. Russia follows in second place, with 577,632 visits to Georgia. Armenia occupies the third place with 397,116 visits, marking a growth of 103 percent, while remaining 25.2 percent below the 2019 numbers.
Israel holds the fourth place, and Azerbaijan ranks fifth.
