Ukraine Themselves Renounced Security Guarantees: Putin
Ukraine themselves renounced the security guarantees outlined in the agreements that followed the Istanbul meeting. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with Pavel Zarubin for the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin," as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the leader of the country, the promised security guarantees are detailed in a document that Kyiv ultimately "threw in the trash."
Putin also mentioned that Russia does not oppose the discussion of security guarantees for Ukraine.
