Azerbaijan Holds 120,000 Ethnic Armenians Hostage, Edmon Marukyan

Special Envoy Edmon Marukyan has reacted on his Twitter blog to the statement made by Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan. He wrote, "The Azerbaijani representative is spreading shameless lies by circulating old family videos and trying to cover up the ethnic cleansing policies carried out by his country and his president.

Azerbaijan is holding hostage 120,000 ethnic Armenians, including 30,000 children, isolating them from the entire world, blocking the supply of gas and electricity, and starving those people to death. This is exactly what Hajiyev is trying to hide with his false statement.

Children from Artsakh, 3-year-old Leon and 6-year-old Gitan, have died due to the dire humanitarian situation. The Azerbaijani government bears direct responsibility for this crime."

It should be noted that Hajiyev claimed that the Lachin corridor is open and that the checkpoint has nothing to do with the tragedy.
