Rolls Royce to Include Reselling Buyers on Blacklist
The British automaker Rolls Royce will prohibit customers who resell the brand's latest Spectre electric vehicle from purchasing another car. This was reported by Carscoops.
Rolls Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Otvos stated that buyers who sell the Spectre will no longer be able to purchase that model again. Customers must qualify to buy the electric vehicle and will only receive their order slot afterward.
“I do not think it is right for manufacturers to dictate to customers, who have spent around half a million dollars on a car, what they can do with it. Circumstances change in people's lives; they may have genuine reasons for selling, such as financial issues,” commented British car dealer Tom Hartley.
The first deliveries of the Rolls Royce Spectre are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023. However, some buyers are already reselling their cars at inflated prices, allowing eager buyers to acquire the long-awaited electric vehicle without waiting in line.
