Azerbaijan Interested in Positive Development of Relations with Iran, Bayramov Says
Recently, tensions have arisen between Tehran and Baku, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced today. At the same time, he emphasized that Azerbaijan has always been interested in the positive development of relations with Iran.
“We feel Iran's serious intentions to normalize relations. Azerbaijan will take adequate measures in response,” he told reporters.
Bayramov added that Azerbaijan wants those responsible for the attack on its embassy in Iran to be punished. According to him, official Baku has serious expectations regarding this issue.
The Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran has been closed since January 29, 2023. Currently, only the Azerbaijani Consulate General operates in Tabriz.
