Grigor Minasyan Discusses Brother's Son-in-Law Mikayel Minasyan
Armenia's Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan has spoken about his relationship with his brother, former President Serzh Sargsyan's son-in-law and ambassador Mikayel Minasyan.
During a Facebook press briefing on Radio Azatutyun, he stated, “There has been no contact with him since before the revolution, since 2014,” referring to his ties with the political team of former Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, during the Republican Party's period in power.
One of the users also inquired whether the legality of the assets and wealth of the son-in-law of the third President of Armenia had been verified, and whether there are any proceedings regarding that matter. The Minister replied, “As the Minister of Justice, I do not have any means to familiarize myself with or intervene in those cases as part of my activities; the question should be directed to the conducting authority, I believe.”
