Photos: Russian Conscripts' Tent Camps Being Dismantled in Belarus
According to the Belarusian service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, satellite images from Planet Labs have recorded the dismantling of tent camps in the areas of three main Belarusian training grounds, where Russian mobilized troops have trained. The camps in question are located near Baranovichi, Lepel, and Osipovich.
Specifically, in a photo taken on July 4, 2023, the camp at the Obuz-Lesnovsky training ground near Baranovichi is no longer visible. Satellite images indicate that the dismantling of the camp, which was constructed in October 2022, only began on June 30.
Russian military personnel have been at the Lepel training ground since mid-October 2022. The July 4, 2023, photo shows that the tent city located there is also in the process of being dismantled.
At the same time, it was recently reported that a new tent camp is being established in Belarus, which, according to one theory, is intended for Wagner Group mercenaries. Confirmation of this information has not yet been received.
