VIDEO: Suspect Detonates Grenade in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi District Court

An explosion occurred at the Shevchenkivskyi District Court in Kyiv, Ukraine. According to Strana newspaper, a man responsible for a terrorist attack near the Supreme Rada in 2015 detonated three grenades inside the courthouse and took a court usher hostage.

“The suspect, Humenyuk, who carried out a terrorist attack near the Rada on August 31, 2015, detonated three grenades in the courtroom, seized a pistol, and took the usher hostage,” the publication reports.

On August 31, 2015, during a protest near the Rada building, a nationalist brought a grenade and threw it at national guard members. The attack resulted in the deaths of four soldiers and injuries to around 140 others. The rally was dedicated to protests against constitutional amendments regarding the special status of Donbas as outlined in the Minsk agreements.
