Louis Vuitton-Inspired Bag Smaller Than a Grain of Salt Sells for Over $63,000 at Auction

A microscopic bag measuring 657 x 222 x 700 microns has sold for more than $63,000 at the Joopiter online auction. The barely visible greenish bag is based on the designs of Louis Vuitton's famous handbag line, although it has no affiliation with the luxury brand and is a creation of a New York art collective.

Notably, the bag is smaller than a grain of salt. It was created using two-photon polymerization, a manufacturing technology used for 3D printing plastic parts at the micro-scale. The bag was sold with a digital microscope that allows viewers to see it up close.
