Russian Experts Were Impressed by Our Army's Readiness Until October 4, Says Prime Minister
During the 44-day war, Russian experts were impressed by the combat readiness of the Armenian army until October 4. This statement was made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a session of the commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war, in response to a question from commission chairman Andranik Kocharyan regarding the basis for the experts' conclusions.
"Yes, such a conversation took place, and I remember it. This conversation occurred in the Ministry of Defense bunker. The discussion was about how, up until that point, under very heavy pressure, Azerbaijan had not achieved any significant gains," the Prime Minister stated.
According to him, following that, the breach of the 9th defensive sector occurred, where the division commander was Karen Arstamyan.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about the agreements reached with Azerbaijan regarding the cessation of hostilities during the previous session of the investigative commission on June 20, stating when the trilateral declaration on the ceasefire was actually signed, he touched upon the negotiations process for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, suggesting that previous leaders of Armenia had given Azerbaijan time to prepare for a "better war," and discussed whether there was any possibility of keeping Shushi under Armenian control, among other points.
