After Quite Intense Negotiations, Ready to Provide an Additional 30 Buses: Vazgen Harutyunyan

“After quite intense negotiations, we received written confirmation on Saturday that the Zhong thong company is ready to provide an additional 30 buses under the same contract, without changing the agreement,” informed Vazgen Harutyunyan, head of the transport department of the Yerevan municipality.

Documents have already been sent to the company. “If everything goes well, the contract will be signed this week,” he said, adding that a relevant draft decision of the government has also been prepared.

Yerevan’s Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that Yerevan is receiving 30 new buses without any additional payment.

Harutyunyan also reported that a tender for management devices in Yerevan’s buses has taken place, and the supply contract will be concluded soon. “Through these devices, we will have the opportunity to view footage from the cameras installed in the buses, data from passenger counting devices, and online information about the location of the buses.”
