Yevgeny Prigozhin Makes a Statement
The leader of the Wagner private military group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has announced the group's departure from the capital.
"Wagner wanted to be dissolved. On June 23, we set off on a march for justice. In one day, we covered 200 kilometers, eventually reaching Moscow. During this time, not a single drop of blood was shed by our fighters. Now the moment has come when blood could have been spilled. Understanding that all responsibility would fall on one side, we are turning our columns around and moving in the opposite direction according to plan to our field camps," said Prigozhin.
The Federal Security Service has launched a criminal case against Yevgeny Prigozhin for inciting a military coup. Prigozhin accuses the Ministry of Defense of opening fire on his mercenaries. Late yesterday evening, he announced that he is starting a "march for justice" against the ministry, calling on Russians to join him.
