Mass Events Canceled in Moscow: Anti-Terror Operation Regime Introduced
The Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, announced on his Telegram channel that all mass events in Moscow have been canceled due to the introduction of the "KTO" regime, according to Gazeta.
According to Telegram channels, this regime implies an anti-terror operation regime under which the FSB becomes the "main authority" in Russia. Security forces are authorized to monitor all phone conversations and other communications, including online.
They have the ability to disrupt communications. Additionally, security forces may check citizens and any form of transport, and use citizens' and organizations' vehicles and property for their purposes. Moreover, they gain unrestricted access to residential and other areas.
