CSTO is Increasingly Aggravating the West: Zakharova
The Collective Security Treaty Organization is increasingly agitating Western countries as it develops, complicating its interaction with other international organizations. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“As the CSTO gains momentum, it becomes more and more of an irritant for the West. We see how difficult it is for the CSTO to interact with other international organizations and entities due to the problems being created,” Zakharova said, responding to a question about Western attempts to sow discord among CSTO member states.
The Russian diplomat noted that the West does not hide its desire to weaken the CSTO, blackening the organization in the public sphere, while promising additional benefits for abandoning cooperation with Russia.
It should be recalled that earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the West views the CSTO as a threat to its dominance in the international arena.
The CSTO includes Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
