Prosecutor's Office Demands Seizure of Assets and 500 Million AMD from Former Head of the Subsoil Agency

The Prosecutor's Office is demanding the seizure of real estate and approximately 500 million AMD from the acting head of the Subsoil Agency. The Anti-Corruption Court accepted another claim regarding the seizure of illegally obtained property on June 2, 2023.

The Department for the Seizure of Illegally Obtained Property of the General Prosecutor's Office has submitted a demand to the court to seize from A.A., the acting head of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources' Subsoil Agency during 2017-2018, and a related individual, on behalf of the Republic of Armenia:

• Two pieces of real estate located in Yerevan and Kotayk province, or, if impossible, their average market value of approximately 60,802,500 AMD.
• The amount equivalent to the current average market value of real estate in Yerevan, amounting to 83,655,000 AMD.
• A vehicle of the brand «MITSUBISHI PAJERO».
• 50% stake in the company «Leonardo and Partners» LLC.
• 382,014,000 AMD in funds, which cannot be justified by the person's legitimate income, is deemed to have an illegal origin, has been transferred to a bona fide purchaser, or cannot be identified for seizure.
