NATO Opposes Peace Conditions Set by Russia, Says Stoltenberg
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that while there is a desire to end military operations in Ukraine as soon as possible, the alliance opposes freezing the conflict and accepting conditions dictated by Russia. This stance was expressed during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The statement was broadcasted by NATO's press service on their YouTube channel, as reported by kommersant.ru.
“Ukraine has the right to liberate its land; the counteroffensive is ongoing at this moment. The more territory Ukrainians can free, the stronger their position will be at the negotiating table. We all want this war to end, but a just peace cannot be achieved by freezing the conflict and accepting terms dictated by Russia,” he stated.
