Azerbaijan Opens Fire Towards Gegharkunik Region at Night

The Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia reports that between 03:20 and 04:10 today, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire using firearms of various calibers towards the Armenian positions located in the eastern (Verin Shorzha, Sotk) and southeastern (Nerkin Hand) directions of the border zone. According to the announcement, there are no casualties on the Armenian side.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday, during the day, the Ministry of Defense denied Azerbaijani claims three times that the Armenian side had opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions, emphasizing that by disseminating such reports, the Azerbaijani side is creating an informational groundwork for the next provocation. Shortly after this informational preparation, they resorted to aggressive actions.

On June 17, at 18:40, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire using firearms of various calibers towards the Armenian positions located in the Verin Shorzha area.
