Vahagn Khachaturyan Offered Uninhabitable Housing, Reports 'Zhoghavorud'
'Zhoghavorud' newspaper reports that although Vahagn Khachaturyan was elected President of the Republic of Armenia by the votes of the ruling CC party, he continues to be one of the most rejected figures among the team of Nikol Pashinyan. He does not even have a summer residence in government villas.
According to 'Zhoghavorud', a separate residence was offered to Vahagn Khachaturyan by the 'Kond Private House Enterprise', but the condition of the housing was so poor and uninhabitable that the president refused it, not wanting to live in the governmental apartment allocated to him. Although the upper echelons of power, led by Nikol Pashinyan, promised that the apartment would be repaired soon and handed over to the president, it has yet to be ready and renovations are still ongoing, while Vahagn Khachaturyan continues to live in his old apartment.
It is worth recalling that Vahagn Khachaturyan was a member of the HAK but suspended his membership in 2022 when he was nominated for president by the CC. He has ceased to be an ally of the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, as the first president publicly labeled Nikol Pashinyan as a 'national disaster'. Thus, Khachaturyan seemingly shares responsibility for the contemporary national catastrophe political matters.
