Each Azerbaijani Family Must Have 5 Children, Says Erdogan

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has stated that each Azerbaijani family should have 5 children. He noted, “Previously, I had mentioned in my program that there should be at least 3 children, but for Azerbaijan, it is 5 children. After all, the population is the strength of the state,” the Turkish president said.

Continuing his remarks, Erdogan mentioned that “as far as I know, the population of Azerbaijan is currently 12 million.” Ilham Aliyev responded, stating that the population of Azerbaijan is still just over 10 million, but it will soon reach 11 million.

It is worth noting that it has previously been reported that the official welcoming ceremony for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is on a state visit to Azerbaijan, is underway. Following the welcoming, a private meeting between Erdogan and Aliyev has commenced.
