Armenian Deputy Prime Minister's Office Responds to Azerbaijani Statement
The office of Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan, has responded to the statement made by Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev regarding the alleged oversight of communication routes to Nakhchivan by the Russian Federal Security Service's border guards on Armenian territory.
In response to an inquiry from Armenpress, Mher Grigoryan's office stated: “During the trilateral working group discussions, including the most recent meeting, no such agreement has been reached. Armenia's position has been and continues to be that the routes stipulated in point 9 of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, should operate under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the parties, based on the principle of reciprocity.”
