Scholz Announces Plans to Speak with Putin in the Near Future
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future. "I intend to do this again soon," the chancellor stated on Saturday during the 38th assembly of the Protestant Church in Nuremberg.
Scholz also added that a necessary condition for a "just peace" is the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory.
