Photos: Vahan Kerobyan Participates in Sheep Shearing Festival

On June 10, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan participated in the "Sheep Shearing" festival held in the village of Khot, Syunik region. The event was organized by "De Ranch" LLC and the "Strategic Development Agency" NGO, with support from the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

The festival has been held in Armenia since 2014. The main goal of the event is to raise awareness of local products, traditions, and culture of the Syunik region, as well as to promote the development of tourism in the area.

“Tourism in Armenia is developing quite well now. According to data from the first five months of this year, about 806,000 tourists have visited our country. However, the development of domestic tourism is also very important for us,” noted Vahan Kerobyan.

The festival featured a showcase of Armenian national costumes, a concert program, and interactive games and competitions. During the event, visitors had the opportunity to taste agricultural products and beverages presented at the booths, as well as purchase handcrafted souvenirs.
