VIDEO: "This is not a formality". Yerevan Council Member on Compliance with Construction Norms

The Yerevan Municipality has raised concerns about compliance with construction norms on Aharonyan Street in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district. This was expressed by Yerevan Council member Isabella Abgaryan in a post on her Facebook page, where she also shared a video.

“Later we will say that the dust level in the air is high. Residents of nearby buildings are suffocating with closed windows in this heat,” Abgaryan wrote. She concluded with the statement, “This is not a formality.”

Earlier, Deputy Mayor Avinyan stated that the installation of dust-catching nets should be a mandatory requirement for construction. “This issue must be at the forefront of our attention. One of the reasons for poor air quality in Yerevan is the large volume of dust resulting from construction, therefore, we must implement stricter control,” he emphasized.
