Candlelight March in Commemoration of Incarcerated Gayané Hakobyan's Fallen Son’s 22nd Birthday

The NGO "Call of the Sons" is organizing a candlelight vigil and march on the occasion of the 22nd birthday of Zhora Martirosyan, who fell during the 44-day war, while his mother, Gayané Martirosyan, is currently incarcerated.

“Dear compatriots, on June 10, we commemorate the 22nd birthday of the legend of the 44-day war, Zhora Martirosyan, whose mother Gayané is in custody. It is with great sorrow that we note Gayané, being in custody, does not have the opportunity to visit her son’s grave on his birthday, but Gayané has us.

Thus, we invite you to participate in the candlelight march on June 9 at 23:00. The march will begin from the arch of the Yerablur military pantheon, and we will proceed with candles towards the church. At 24:00, we will visit Zhora's holy grave and celebrate the celestial birthday of our hero. Zhora, we may not be able to fill in for your mother, but we cannot leave you alone on this day,” reads the announcement.
