Prigozhin Accuses Russian Defense Ministry of Planting Explosives on Wagner's Exit Routes from Bakhmut
The founder of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has accused the Russian Ministry of Defense of planting explosives along the exit routes of Wagner forces from Bakhmut. This was reported by Doxj.
Prigozhin stated that his units discovered various explosive devices on the routes out of Bakhmut, ranging from "hundreds of anti-tank mines to tons of plastic explosives," claiming these were installed by representatives of the country’s defense ministry.
Prigozhin’s response regarding the situation in Bakhmut was published by his press service following an inquiry from the news agency. He stated, "The ones installing those mines are representatives of the Ministry of Defense. When asked why they did this, they point fingers upwards. There are still no answers to the questions. There was no need to place those mines to deter the enemy as they are located in the backing zone."
According to him, the explosives were remotely controlled. He speculated that the representatives of the Ministry of Defense "wanted to greet the advancing units of the Wagner Group, even though they were not moving in convoys," labeling this situation as an "attempt at public punishment."
