VIDEO: "You Will Decide How We Will Live in the Future," Avinyan
June 1 is a day filled with festive spirit and beautiful events for all of us. However, June 1 also holds significant meaning—it is your Rights Day. This was stated today by Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan while welcoming students at a session of the city’s "School Council."
“As you are entering high school and embarking on the path of adulthood, I believe we can and should discuss the important issues that will shape your present and future,” Avinyan said, adding, “It is not difficult to guess why children’s rights are distinguished from general human rights; today’s children are tomorrow’s society and political life, and in general, you will decide how we will live in the future.”
