Georgian Prime Minister on Restoration of Direct Flights with Russia
The restoration of direct flights with Russia has no connection to politics, stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili during a meeting with representatives of the Georgian diaspora, who arrived in Tbilisi from various countries.
“Air transport is part of trade and economic relations; it has nothing to do with politics or anything at all. It should be noted that our million-strong diaspora and their relatives, family members need free movement without a visa regime,” said the Prime Minister of Georgia.
According to him, thousands of vehicles cross the Georgian-Russian land border every day, including freight trucks, so it is pointless to criticize the launch of direct flights with Russia.
