Marukyan on the Abduction of 2 Armenian Soldiers
The special envoy of Armenia, Edmon Marukyan, notes that the number of Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijani prisons is continuously increasing, instead of being released.
Marukyan made this statement on his Twitter account, addressing the abduction of 2 Armenian soldiers by Azerbaijan from the sovereign territory of Armenia.
“2 Armenian soldiers have been illegally abducted from the sovereign territory of Armenia. Thus, the number of Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijani prisons is continuously increasing instead of being released. Azerbaijan must release all Armenian prisoners of war and civilians, as they are all being held unlawfully in Azerbaijani prisons,” wrote Marukyan.
The special envoy of Armenia also mentioned U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell in his post.
