Kalashnikov to Significantly Increase Drone Production
Kalashnikov Concern has established its own division for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and is set to increase drone production several times. This announcement was made by the company’s president Alan Lushnikov on May 26, according to Izvestia.
"We are expanding production; our line, as you already know, is a tactical loop. Everything that is not launched from an airport (or by hand or from a catapult) is included. These are both reconnaissance and strike weaponry," he told reporters.
Lushnikov noted that Kalashnikov has consolidated all its capabilities for the production and development of UAVs. "We are expanding our manufacturing. There will also be ground launch stations, controllers—everything necessary for the effective operation of tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles," he added.
