"Among the agenda items is the issue of 'Compensation for persons holding state positions and state service positions,' which simply means an increase in the salaries of investigators," stated Gegham Manukyan, a deputy from the 'Armenia' faction in the National Assembly.

"In recent years, when confronting investigators, we have said, 'Why are you doing this? Enough with the false criminal cases initiated at the direction of Nikol.' They respond, 'Well, we are keeping the house.' Now, to keep the house, their salaries are being raised a bit more," Manukyan said, referring to the recent high-profile arrests.

“Those who keep the house, the political order fulfillers should know that as a result of these government's steps, tomorrow they will be housing Turks, but in the form of cleaners,' Manukyan concluded his speech.
