Prigozhin Attempts to Purchase Military Equipment from Other Countries

The United States is seeing signs that the Russian private military company Wagner is attempting to secretly purchase military equipment from other countries.

According to Sky News, US officials have accused Wagner members of conspiring to obtain military equipment from foreign suppliers and transport it to Russia via Mali, as reported by Unian. While the State Department has made such allegations, they state that they have not seen evidence of the conspiracy.

“There are signs that Wagner has attempted to purchase military systems from foreign suppliers and to send those weapons through Mali. So far, we have not seen any indication that these purchases have been completed or carried out, but we are closely monitoring the situation,” a State Department representative told reporters.
