Archbishop Arshak Khachaturyan Responds to Pashinyan's Statement
Recently, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made another statement regarding the church. He notably said, "If the church wants to engage in politics, let them create a political party."
In an interview with MediaHub, the Vicar of the Mother See, Archbishop Arshak Khachaturyan, responded to this statement succinctly: "If some want to engage in ecclesiastical matters, they can try to enter the Theological Seminary, provided they overcome the established educational threshold for admission and present convincing arguments regarding their good health condition."
It is also worth noting that Nikol Pashinyan stated that there is nothing more dangerous than when the church and the state interfere with one another, and that the church cannot be above the state.
