Junior Sergeant Narek Baghdasaryan Posthumously Awarded

Junior Sergeant Narek Baghdasaryan, who was killed as a result of an Azerbaijani provocation on May 12, has been awarded posthumously. This information comes from a decree by the President of Armenia.

In the decree issued on May 19 by President Vahagn Khachaturyan, it is stated: “Taking into account the Prime Minister's proposal, according to Article 136 of the Constitution, as well as Article 5.3, parts 1 and 9 of the law on ‘State Awards and Honorary Titles of the Republic of Armenia,’ for the courage shown while defending the borders of the homeland and for selfless devotion, Junior Sergeant Narek Norayr Baghdasaryan, a conscript soldier of military unit N, is posthumously awarded the ‘Medal for Services to the Homeland’ of the 2nd degree.”
