CSTO Focuses on Development of Member States' Defense Industry
Against the backdrop of current regional security threats, the CSTO is paying special attention to the development of the defense industries of its member states. This was announced by the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov during the opening of the MILEX-2023 International Exhibition of Weapons and Military Equipment in Minsk.
“In the context of existing challenges and threats to international and regional security, the CSTO Collective Security Council is focusing on the stable development of the defense industrial sectors of the member states, on the development and production of modern samples of weapons for the armament of CSTO collective forces as one of the key elements of ensuring collective security,” Tasmagambetov stated.
According to him, holding arms exhibitions in CSTO countries significantly contributes to solving this problem.
