Erdogan Indicates Readiness for Second Round of Elections
Turkey's current President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has made it clear that he is prepared for the second round of presidential elections. “We do not yet know if the elections will conclude in the first round, but if the people send us to the second round, we will respect this decision,” Erdogan told AFP.
His main competitor, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, has also announced his agreement to hold a second round if necessary. At the same time, both politicians have expressed confidence in their ultimate victory.
It should be noted that, at this moment, after processing 100% of the ballots in the Turkish presidential elections, no candidate has surpassed the 50% threshold. Recep Tayyip Erdogan received 49.24%, while Kemal Kilicdaroglu garnered 45.06%.
