Brawl and Gunfire in Central Yerevan
On May 13, a dispute, brawl, and gunfire occurred in Yerevan. Around 11:30 PM, operational information was received at the Central Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, indicating that a dispute and brawl had taken place at the intersection of Amiryan and Zakyan streets, during which gunfire was heard. Police and patrol officers arrived at the scene. They discovered a cartridge fired from a gas pistol, two unfired cartridges, a knife, and broken beer bottles at the site.
A case has been initiated in the investigative department based on the characteristics of hooliganism related to the incident.
According to reports, based on reasonable suspicion of hooliganism at the intersection of Amiryan and Zakyan streets, four residents of Gyumri have been identified and taken to the Central Police Department: 21-year-old Alen A., 22-year-old Ervand B., 22-year-old Artak Gh., and 20-year-old Hayk Kh. The suspects have been referred from the Central Police Department to the Second Investigative Division of the Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts.
