Erdogan Discusses Possible Defeat in Upcoming Elections
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has commented on the possibility of his defeat in the presidential elections scheduled for May 14. This was reported by TASS.
Erdogan addressed the potential outcome of the elections and expressed his willingness to leave the Turkish presidency through democratic means. He stated, "We came to power in Turkey through democratic means. If our people decide otherwise (vote for the opposition candidate), then we will do what is necessary for democracy. Any result that comes from the elections, we will consider legitimate," he said.
At the same time, he expressed confidence that Turkish citizens will support him and his Justice and Development Party.
