Georgia Proposes to Restore Air Communications with Russia
Georgia has approached Russia with a request to restore air communications. This was announced by the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, Vladimir Dzhabarov.
The Russian senator stated that this occurred several weeks ago. Tbilisi raised the issue of resuming Aeroflot flights, which is supported by the ruling Georgian Dream party.
Dzhabarov added that the European Union has expressed strong opposition to the return of direct flights, effectively intervening in Georgia's affairs.
