"They have made a blunder, we will appeal the decision in court": Artistic Director of "Goy" Theatre
“The State Non-Commercial Organization of the National Experimental Center of Performing Arts named after Armen Mazmanyan" will appeal the government's decision to merge it with the State Non-Commercial Organization of the G. Sundukyan National Academic Theatre in court. This was stated today, May 11, in an interview with NEWS.am by the Artistic Director and Director of the "Goy" Theatre, Arthur Sahakyan.
“They have made a blunder. They made their own decision, for which they will have to answer in court. I do not recognize this government. For me, this government has no legitimacy after the war. Let the government answer in court why it is making such decisions instead of bringing the country back,” said Arthur Sahakyan.
According to the government, this decision will contribute to the centralization of professional resources of the mentioned organizations and the development of their capacities, and it will stimulate an increase in financial resources. The reforms also imply the optimization of state non-commercial organizations. The necessity of the decision stems from the above-mentioned objectives and aims to utilize the creative potential of the "Goy" Theatre more efficiently and purposefully.
