Azerbaijani Forces Accumulate Troops and Heavy Equipment at the Border, Targeting the Sotk Gold Mine – Hakob Avetyan

“Azerbaijani forces have accumulated troops and heavy equipment at the border, with the Sotk gold mine as their target,” said Hakob Avetyan, former head of the Geghamasar community, in an interview with Factinfo. He noted that military operations are unlikely to conclude with today’s provocations and that further actions will occur in the near future.

Avetyan stated that, at this moment, the situation in Sotk is relatively calm, while he received information regarding Armenian casualties from official sources. According to Avetyan, such provocations by the enemy can only be prevented through a counter-action. He emphasized that the Armenian side provided a relevant response to the enemy during today’s military provocations.

It is noteworthy that starting from 6:00 AM today, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units opened fire from artillery and mortars targeting Armenian positions located in the direction of Sotk. As of now, the situation along the frontline remains relatively stable.
