The West Has Been Trying to Avenge Itself on Turkey for 104 Years: Turkish Interior Minister

Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has stated that the western media is organizing manipulations in light of the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey to implement a U.S. plan.

“The U.S. program is actively consolidating. The intervention of the western media is due to the implementation of the U.S. plan,” said the head of Turkey's Ministry of Interior.

Soylu believes that the West infiltrated Turkey’s political system after 1960, but that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan halted this infiltration, leading the West to actively intervene in Turkey’s internal political processes.

According to him, the U.S. ambassador in the country wants to control the process of the general elections scheduled for May 14.

Soylu accused the West of seeking revenge on Turkey for 104 years for not accepting its geopolitical preferences.
